How long does Henna vs. HD Brow Tint Last? Most clients love the 'stain' that either of these services provide to minimize the chore of drawing on their Brows every day, but the difference in the two services are the INGREDIENTS. Ultimately the stain WILL fade because your skin is continuously shedding - the AVERAGE person's stain can easily last 5-7 days. We have clients and photos of the both procedures lasting 3 weeks...though this is NOT typical it is POSSIBLE. They BOTH provide a TOPICAL stain on the skin. To help your stain last LONGER we recommend: -Exfoliate your brows 3-5 days PRIOR to your brow service. -Ensure that the area to be treated is HEALTHY (ex. no flaking, excessive dryness, no open wounds, no eczema/acne/seborrheic dermatitis) -Do not get the service if you are currently treating your face with exfoliating products, including facials. -Brow area must be kept as dry as possible once serviced (no water, oil, moisturizers or toner) Ultimately if you LOVE the look of the stain, if it makes your life easier, makes your brows fuller you may want to consider Bossy Ombre/Microshading which easily lasts 2-3 years.

What's the difference between Microblading & MicroshadingBoth microblading and microshading are forms of permanent makeup that involve implanting pigment into the skin but use different techniques: Microblading uses a manual, blade-like tool to create hair-like strokes that mimic real eyebrow hairs. Microshading uses a digital pen to apply pigment in tiny pixels , creating a soft, powdered effect. As Brow Restoration Experts, we use our expertise in facial symmetry, color theory, pigments, and tools, along with experience from thousands of healed brows, to help you choose the best technique for you.

What's the difference between Henna Brows and HD Brow TintBoth Henna Brow Tint and HD Brow Tint give similar finished results, but the key difference lies in their ingredients: Henna Brow Tint is a more natural option, ideal for those with sensitive skin or looking for plant-based solutions. HD Brow Tint is excellent for covering gray hairs and enhancing brow definition with a deeper color shift.

What is Lip BlushLip Blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the natural shape and color of your lips. This technique uses a gentle shading process to deposit pigment, giving your lips a subtle tint. It's really a great solution for: Undefined Vermillion Border: It helps define the border between the lips and the surrounding skin, making them look more pronounced and symmetrical. As one ages this border becomes less defined and color shrinks away making the lips appear smaller. Lack of Definition: Lip Blush adds natural-looking color and shape, giving the lips a well-defined appearance. This can be an alternative or an addition to lip fillers. Color Correction: It can neutralize uneven pigmentation, correct discoloration, and enhance the natural shade of your lips. Fullness: By enhancing the border and adding a soft, even color, Lip Blush gives the illusion of fuller, more balanced lips. Depending on the color, saturation and your goals lip blush last indefinitely or fade subtly over 2-3 years.

How can I prepare for my Lip Blush appointment?Elevate Your Oral Hygiene: Brush your teeth, floss, and gargle before prior to your session to ensure the area is clean and bacteria-free. Hydrate Your Lips: Drink at least a liter of water on the day of your appointment to combat dehydration, which causes chapped lips. Elevating your water in take as much as 2 weeks in advance is HIGHLY recommended. Exfoliate Gently: Ideally for 7 days prior to your appointment (including the day of) Exfoliate your lips to gently remove dead skin and sleep with chapstick/lip balm or lip gloss. Keep Lips Moist: Apply lip balm or gloss consistently throughout the day to maintain moisture and prevent dryness. Consult a Physician if Prone to Cold Sores: If you’ve ever had cold sores or fever blisters, consult your doctor before scheduling. Lip blush can trigger an outbreak, your doctor may prescribe a viral suppressant to protect your lips and results. Typically clients take this a few weeks before and after as added precaution.

Can I get lip blush with Lip Filler?Yes, you can get both lip blush and lip filler, but timing is important to achieve the best results. After Lip Filler: Wait at least six weeks after getting lip filler before your lip blush appointment. This gives your lips time to settle and allows your artist to work with your final lip shape. Do not schedule lip blush in between or if you're going back for an adjustment. Wait until you're happy with the fullness of your lips and the filler /skin has had time to settle. After Lip Blush: If you’re planning to get lip filler after a lip blush procedure, wait at least 4- 6 weeks. This ensures the blush has healed properly and won’t be affected by the filler. Following these timelines helps you get smooth, long-lasting results from both treatments!

how long does Lip Blush take to heal?Lip blush typically takes around 4-6 weeks to fully heal. Here’s what to expect and how to care for your lips during the healing process: Day 1-2: Fresh and Bright After the procedure, your lips may appear MORE vibrant and bold than expected, feel slightly swollen/tender. This is normal as the pigment is freshly deposited. Days 3-7: Peeling Phase Your lips will start to lightly flake and peel. It’s crucial not to pick at the peeling skin, as this can disrupt healing and cause uneven results. During this phase, the color will appear to fade significantly as the top layer of the skin sheds. Days 8-14: Color Returns Gradually After peeling, your lips may seem lighter, but don’t worry—this is just part of the healing process. Over the next few days, the color will gradually resurface as your skin regenerates. Weeks 3-4: Settling By now, the color starts to even out and settle into its final shade. However, keep in mind that it can take 4-6 weeks for the full results to become visible. Any touch-ups should only be considered after this period. Aftercare Tips: Keep Lips Moist: Use a recommended lip balm provided by your artist to keep your lips moisturized. This prevents excessive dryness and cracking. Avoid Touching or Picking: Refrain from touching, picking, or exfoliating the peeling skin. Let it shed naturally. No Makeup or Harsh Products: Avoid applying lipstick, lip gloss, or any other makeup on your lips for at least 10 days. Also, steer clear of spicy foods, and acidic drinks during this period. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your lips and skin hydrated. Protect from Sun: Minimize sun exposure and avoid tanning beds, as UV rays can affect the color. Depending on your goals it may take 2-3 sessions to achieve your final look and we would schedule 7-10 weeks in between each session.

What is the difference between Lip Blush, Dark Lip Neutralization and Lipstick? The differences vary in color intensity, color choice and technique. The STARTING color in your lips, depends which technique you will NEED to achieve your goal. In general if there is any pigmentation/darkness in your lip or uneven coloring this would need to be addressed first - the technique is referred to as Neutralization. This is a slow delicate process that may take several sessions to avoid overworking the delicate lip tissue and causing more pigmentation. Lip Blush vs. Lipstick is a difference in the intensity of color. Lip Blush assumes an even lip color as the base and the results will be more sheer allowing the natural color to come through, this could even appear slightly ombre (darker edges with lighter center, or reversed). Lip Blush is also marketed under the names Juicy lips, watercolor lips, aqua lips. Lipstick will be densely covered, highly saturated color. This may be marketed as Velvet Lips, Satin lips etc.

What is the difference between Lash Line & EyelinerThe main difference between a lash line and an eyeliner tattoo is how bold the result is ABOVE the lashes: Lash Line Tattoo: A subtle enhancement where pigment is placed directly along the lash line. It creates the illusion of fuller lashes without a visible "eyeliner" look—perfect for a natural effect. There's no wing or wedge. Eyeliner Tattoo: A more defined line above the lash line that mimics traditional eyeliner makeup. It can be customized to be thin or bold, with options like a winged or smoky effect for a more dramatic look. In short, lash line tattoo is subtle and natural, while eyeliner tattoo is more noticeable and makeup-like.
-
How Long does eyeliner tattoo last?We currently offer a complimentary touch session to ensure the deepest, most saturated liner possible. Typically you will have 1-3 years of full saturated liner. The full results will get softer, to keep the FRESHEST look a touch up is recommended every 2 years. Ultimately Eyeliner is permanent makeup.

Do eye procedures hurt? Most clients experience minimal to zero discomfort. A topical numbing cream is applied to the eyelids before the procedure and during to reduce any pain. While there may be very little discomfort DURING the procedure it is not unusual to experience swelling and/or bruising.

Is this the same as a Lash Perm?there is a chemical difference between a lash lift and a lash perm. Lash Lift: Uses a gentler lifting solution that’s specially formulated to work with a silicone shield. The solution lifts the lashes from the root, creating an upward, lengthening effect. Lash lift solutions are generally designed to be less harsh, making them suitable for a more natural and lifted look. Lash Perm: Uses a stronger perming solution that works with curling rods to create a tighter, curlier effect along the entire lash length. The chemicals are similar to those used in traditional hair perms, which are more intensive and can sometimes be more drying or irritating to the lashes and eye area. In short, lash lifts use a milder lifting solution focused on length and lift, while lash perms use a stronger curling solution for a more dramatic curl. This chemical difference is why lash lifts tend to look more natural and are often considered gentler on the lashes.
-
is this the same as lash extensions? No. Lash extensions ADD length to your individual lashes a lash lift simply LIFTS your NATURAL lashes.

What is the difference between Permanent and Semi Permanent MakeupAmong most Cosmetic Tattoo Professionals the process of implanting color (pigment) into the skin will have PERMANENT results. It is plausible that the results WILL FADE due to MANY factors: the type of pigment used (carbon, hybrid, mineral based) Level of saturation ( color intensity) Color/Hue chosen Exposure to the sun Exposure to exfoliants (ex. facials, acids, medications) Depth of implantation ( more superficial, more fade) Even if the color has FADED remaining color PARTICLES will be there indefinitely, thus why Professionally speaking the results would be considered permanent.
-
Is it a tattoo?According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of tattoo is: Tattoo (noun): A mark, figure, design, or word intentionally fixed or placed on the skin, typically created by INSERTING pigment UNDER the skin to make it permanent. In short, yes!

Can Permanent Makeup be removed if I don’t like it?Yes, PMU can be lightened or removed with methods like saline removal or laser treatments. However, removal will be a long and costly process, so it’s important to choose an EXPERIENCED artist from the start. REMOVAL/lightening will RARELY be only one or two sessions. Depending on the age, colors used and color intensity will depend on how many lightening sessions you would require with 8-12 weeks of healing in between sessions. EMERGENCY REMOVALS (for PMU NO MORE than 48 hours ) are offered at Bossy Brows. please contact us ASAP if you've gotten work that you are not THRILLED with. Our number ONE suggestion is to look for HEALED photos for the service you desire. You are looking for skin similar to your own. Typically Newer Artists with only STOCK photos, NO photos, Photos of work on latex or freshly done work can not confidently speak to the healed results of their work, technique or color over time.

When can I get PMU after Chemotherapy? After chemotherapy, it's generally recommended to wait at least 6-12 months before getting permanent makeup (PMU), including procedures like microblading, eyeliner, or lip blush. This waiting period allows your immune system to recover and reduces the risk of infection or healing complications. Here’s what to keep in mind: Consult Your Doctor: Always get approval from your oncologist or primary doctor. They can provide guidance based on your specific health status. As a PMU we are not licensed to make diagnosis or make recommendations on medical treatment plans. Stable Blood Counts: PMU is safest when your blood counts (especially white blood cells) are stable, as this indicates a stronger immune response. Skin Sensitivity: Chemotherapy can make skin more sensitive and prone to irritation, so it's crucial to ensure your skin has fully healed and returned to its normal texture and resilience. Increased Pigment Retention: After chemo, the skin may hold onto pigment more readily. In healthy skin, a portion of the pigment naturally fades as the immune system metabolizes it. In post-chemo skin, slower pigment breakdown can lead to more intense results. Changes in Skin’s pH and Hydration: Chemo can alter the skin’s pH balance and hydration levels, which can affect how pigment binds and settles. Dehydrated or overly dry skin can make pigment appear darker and less evenly distributed. Altered Immune Response: A weakened immune system post-chemo may not break down and process the pigment as efficiently as healthy skin would. This can cause the color to heal darker since there’s less immune response to lighten or fade the pigment during the healing process. By waiting and consulting with your medical provider, you’ll increase your chances of a smooth PMU experience and optimal results.

I have a scar, can that be covered?Yes, permanent makeup (PMU) can often be used to help camouflage scars, depending on the type, size, and location of the scar. Here’s what to consider: Skin Texture and Healing: The scar should be fully healed, usually at least 6-12 months old, and the skin should be smooth. Raised or indented scars may not take pigment evenly. Scar skin vs. Healthy skin - Scar skin does not typically retain color as well has healthy skin. so in the case of lips, brows and eye liner if scar skin interrupts the design you should expect that the area will fade faster than the surrounding area. Color Matching: An experienced PMU artist can blend pigment to match your natural skin tone or enhance features around the scar to make it less noticeable. Realistic Expectations: PMU can improve the appearance of a scar, but it may not make it completely invisible. Results vary based on the scar and individual skin type. At this time Bossy Brows is not offering Scar Camouflage services.
